Associate Attorney, Legal Compliance The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the firm maintains compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Perform legal research of issues related to the firms practice. Maintain knowledge of the laws and regulations governing the firms practice. Investigate, assess and formulate responses to complaints. Assist in the formulation and review of firm policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. Perform compliance reviews of firm correspondence. Adhere to workplace and client-specific compliance standards. Other duties/projects as assigned. The candidate should have Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Bar in good standing for the state of Massachusetts. Must have 2+ years of experience as a practicing attorney. Experience with state and federal laws related to debt collection preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate issues required. Strong analytical skills essential. Strong attention to detail are must. Time management skills and ability to accomplish tasks within assigned time-frames. Ability to handle competing demands and priorities. Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
