Associate Attorney The candidate will manage responsibilities that include a wide variety of tasks associated with debt collection. Will handle and provide analyse and advice on legal and regulatory risks. Interpret laws, rulings and regulations impacting the company and advise the business as appropriate. JD degree from accredited law school is needed. Membership in the State Bar as an attorney qualified to practice law in the state of Nebraska. Should preferably have 1-3 years of experience. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws. Ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations. Advanced knowledge and thorough understanding of collection law with respect to regulatory requirement is needed. Experience in consumer credit and/or drafting and negotiating ideal is essential. Must have strong communication skills, and a passion for collection law and commercial business litigation. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite is needed. Must be licensed attorney qualified to practice law in the state of Nebraska. Background in civil litigation and experience attending court proceedings a must. Experience in litigation and consumer debt collection litigation is desired. Excellent oral and written communication skill is advantageous. Strong analytical and basic research skills related to the retrieval and organization of high volumes of information is essential.
