Associate Attorney - Appellate Law The candidate should have a passion for legal research and writing, own books by Bryan Garner, Ross Guberman, and Matthew Butterick, and have an existing opinion on the writing styles of Justices Kagan, Roberts, Ginsburg, and Gorsuch. Must be a gifted legal writer who is eager to continue developing these skills. Appellate and federal clerkship experience or sinking feeling that BigLaw's mass-attrition business model does not fit their career goals and life. Develop an appellate practice while working closely with excellent trial lawyers (often defending health care providers) and is ready to practice in Maryland, with D.C. and Virginia bar admission a strong plus.
