Orbach Huff + Henderson is currently seeking a defense civil litigation paralegal to join its team. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience (preferably defense side personal injury, wrongful death, dog bite, police, ADA) and required to handle a fast-paced work environment. This position has the flexibility to work from home, but also requires coming into our Pleasanton office. The Firm is currently seeking a Paralegal who can excel at the qualifications below: CA State and Federal Litigation skills with excellent working knowledge of legal documents and court rules Experience with litigation procedures, preparation of discovery and trial exhibits Experience with and ability to prepare and respond to written discovery, issue subpoenas, and review/summarize records produced in discovery Overall understanding and implementation of E-Discovery and the litigation practice Strong written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail Ability to apply problem-solving skills and work under minimal supervision Provide excellent customer service to clients Capacity to perform well under stressful circumstances, adapt to changing work priorities, workflow and work assignments Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently and efficiently organize large amounts of document High level of computer competency, in the complete Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF conversion Two of the following are required: (1) Bachelor's degree, (2) Paralegal Certificate, and/or (3) four years of previous paralegal experience.
