Attorney The candidate should have 2+ years experience handling Virginia Workers Compensation Claims. Virginia Bar admission is required. EOE. The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of representing Plaintiffs in their workers' compensation matters, including appeals. Will handle case evaluation and preparation. Administrative Hearings. Discovery. Prepare for and attend hearings/depositions. Report on hearings, depositions, and appearances. Correspond as needed. File pleadings. Prepare correspondence to clients regarding status and updates of active claims. Perform legal research and analyze cases. Develop/recommend case strategy. Develop plan of action. Write briefs and pleadings. Negotiate settlements. Administrative duties as they relate to the practice of law. Should have Knowledge of Virginia Workers' Compensation law. Ability to spot legal issues in other areas. Should have ability to manage caseload effectively.
