Paralegal Duties: Responsible for day to day operations. Interacting with clients. Drafting pleadings, orders, and letters using Microsoft Office and Word Perfect. Preparing files for court hearings. Calendaring hearings and appointments. Organizing files. Handling all day to day operations of a small office.
Qualifications: College degree preferred; Paralegal certificate or 5+ years legal experience as an equivalent is preferred/required. Notary Public in SC. 2-3 years working in a law office setting. Strong Knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Word Perfect. Professional written and verbal skills. Experience in family law a plus. 1-3 years experience in working in a law office. Work independently. Stay organized, prioritize, and adhere to strict deadlines. Provide excellent customer service. Maintain confidentiality. Pay close attention to detail. Ability to work under stressful situations. Problem solving. Ability to learn quickly and be a self-starter.
