Global Migration Attorney The candidate will manage a significant global immigration caseload by overseeing every aspect of the outbound immigration process for our clients to ensure compliance. Serve as the case manager for all outbound matters. Serve as the central point of contact and manage day-to-day correspondence for international immigration partners in the EMEA and APAC regions and clients. This role requires the ability to clearly understand work & residence permit requirements and communicate them clearly to all parties involved. This also requires the ability to analyze any factors in the process that can negatively impact processing times or cause delays and take a proactive approach in mitigating them. In other words, ensure that the work permit process goes as smoothly as possible for the clients. Ensure quick and timely responses of all correspondence via email or phone calls. This involves responding to emails or holding calls outside of office hours, and responding to emails and calls during European or Asian time zones. Mainly responsible for driving the process forward and determining the necessary resources and actions to obtain the work and residence permits on time. Leverage business and legal and research skills to find answers to queries and solve problems. Manage relationships with third-party in-country partners to ensure that the required support is obtained and that the required work authorization is obtained on time. Ability to quickly understand and communicate various (and changing) work & residence permit application rules in different regions. Keep abreast of the latest developments in work & residence permit rules worldwide and drafting news alerts. Maintain and update records, including case lists, expiration reports, and billing. Observe data protection and privacy laws and ensure that exchange of data or confidential documents are handled appropriately. J.D. preferred. Must have previous international work experience/training that showcase the ability to be proactive and resourceful.
