Technology and Privacy Attorney The candidate will work on information technology matters, including, drafting and negotiating software purchase and development agreements, end user license agreements, and working with clients to develop privacy and security policies as well as advising clients on data sharing. Will also involve work in the healthcare space, including advising clients on HIPAA compliance. Must have 3+ years of transactional and technology experience. Must have experience with drafting a variety of technology agreements, developing policies and procedures, and providing legal advice on compliance matters. Must have strong academic background. Must have Florida Bar license (or to be admitted within a year of being hired). Proficiency in standard law firm technology, including the Microsoft Office family of products and Lexis Advance is required. Experience with various privacy and security regulations and frameworks is required. Must have experience with advising clients on regulatory compliance (healthcare preferred). Must have strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Must have demonstrated understanding of contract drafting fundamentals. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex legal principles to non-experts in a succinct and understandable manner.
