Paralegal - Insurance Defense The candidate will be managing files for litigation matters including medical and dental malpractice and long term care Subpoena, intake and review medical records. Understanding of medical terminology and records. Preparing timelines, medical summaries, exhibits. Preparing pleadings, discovery demands, responses to discovery requests from other parties. Assisting attorney in preparing for hearings, mediation, arbitrations and trials. Ability to prioritize workload based on deadlines required. 3+ years as an insurance defense paralegal required. Florida Registered Paralegal preferred. Knowledge of Florida Civil Court Rules required. Excellent communication skills required. Ability to work with attorneys, paralegals and other office staff in a professional manner required. Ability to interact with adjusters, clients, facility employees, experts, court personnel and opposing counsel and staff in a professional manner required. Must be detail oriented and highly organized. Strong knowledge of Word 2010, Excel 2010, Outlook 2010. Acrobat Adobe Pro2017 required. Knowledge of Client Profiles/ATO a plus.
