Veteran Benefits Attorney Responsibilities: Provide adequate, informed representation for veterans throughout the VA benefits appeals process. Represent veterans, servicemembers, dependents and/or survivors before the VA for VA benefits, such as veterans disability claims. Interpret and understand Title 38 US Code and Title 38 of the Federal Code of Regulations and veterans benefits and applicable law and regulations. Prepare for client hearings by analyzing cases and interpreting the laws. Conduct pre-hearings with clients to review case information and advise clients of court processes. Provide a high level of service to our clients while demonstrating a high level of integrity, accountability and team commitment. Evaluate findings and developing strategies and arguments for case presentation. Assisting VA team members with questions and client concerns. Attend hearings in various locations. Brief writing. Qualifications: must have 3 years of VA disability representation experience. Must have VA accreditation. Willing to travel. Military background / experience a plus. Actively licensed to practice law in at least one state. Experience with Needles case management / document management beneficial. Ability to manage a high-volume caseload involving sensitive information. Excellent organization and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to requests. Deadline and detail-oriented. Able to manage and balance multiple tasks and priorities.
