Trial Litigation Attorney Duties: Litigating personal injury actions to verdict. Drafting pleadings, briefs, memos, and discovery requests/responses. Conducting legal research. Investigating the factual and legal viability of potential cases. Working with expert witnesses. Attending and covering motion and other court hearings, presenting oral argument and taking and defending depositions. Monitoring cases in order to satisfy deadlines. Exploring and implementing ways to maximize case value. Communicating with clients with compassion and empathy and in a manner that encourages their confidence and trust. Support attorneys and staff within the litigation team. Qualifications: North Carolina license required. Trial attorney with 1-2 years of courtroom experience. Experience arguing motions and taking and defending depositions. Experience as plaintiffs counsel a plus. 1st or 2nd chair trial experience. Able to litigate cases primarily in Charlotte and central to western North Carolina. Knowledge and understanding of legal discovery. Must possess strong analytical, legal research and writing skills. Easily masters firm technology tools and processes. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling client matters, and adhering to strict deadlines. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
