Manager - Attorney Recruiting Responsibilities: Draft lateral attorney position postings and oversee publication of available positions through all appropriate outlets. Identify, evaluate and manage use of outlets including publications and websites for law schools, local and national bar associations, diversity bar associations and industry organizations. Manage employee internal referral program and utilize internal resources to find known talent. Develop and communicate information about available positions, about the practice groups and offices filling the positions, and about the firm in general to law school career services professionals and preferred search firms in relevant markets. Review resumes and select candidates for screening interviews based on the required criteria. Conduct screening interviews and evaluate and recommend candidates for callback interviews. Oversee and participate in the callback interview process and the evaluation of candidates following callback interviews. Facilitate and participate in the decision-making process. Act as the firm ambassador and main point of contact for candidates from application though onboarding. Manage complete due diligence process and background materials; follow up as appropriate on data collected. Manage conflicts clearance process by reviewing hiring questionnaire, submitting with conflicts team to run check, identifying and elevating potential issues, reporting results to sponsoring partners and candidates and managing any needed recommendations Collaborate with others to develop and implement strategies to increase the diversity of the law student and lateral applicant pool. Oversee orientation and integration of summer associates, fall associates and lateral associates into the office, practice group and firm. Assist in developing, updating and maintaining written policies and procedures related to lateral recruiting based on industry best practices. Stay abreast of changes in the industry and share competitive market intelligence such as hiring data and potential opportunities that could contribute to the firm's growth. Respond to inquiries outside of standard business hours. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of manager-level experience in attorney recruiting, attorney professional development, or relevant field, including working collaboratively in a multi-office law firm. Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and competing demands under tight deadlines. Excellent judgment, discretion and personal integrity. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Windows-based software applications including Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems. Prior experience with electronic applicant tracking systems, such as viRecruit is strongly preferred. Client-driven team player with strong client service skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team interacting with all levels of firm personnel. Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and the highest regard for confidentiality. Self-starter with ability to remain self-directed and self-motivated with minimal supervision strongly preferred. Must be extremely responsive to both internal and external clients. Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and enthusiasm. Ability to learn quickly and apply training to practical issues.
