Legal Secretary Scheduler The candidate will be primarily centered around legal scheduling for automobile negligence, wrongful death, personal injury, and premises liability cases. Should have a High School diploma and some college education or equivalent work experience. Must have 1-2 years of experience as a legal secretary in a high volume, defense law firm environment. Moderate knowledge of legal practices, terminology, and format for legal documents is required. The ability to type a 75+ wpm is required. Advanced skills in computer technology using MS Office Suite, Orion, digital dictation, and SharePoint is essential. Interpersonal skills are necessary to communicate by e-mail, telephone, and in-person to provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact in an environment with a diverse group of personalities. Must be flexible and solution-oriented with the ability to work under pressure. The ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints while maintaining a high level of attention to detail is a must. Advanced writing skills, verbal communication skills, and dictation transcription are needed.
