Associate Attorney The candidate must have 2-3 years of experience, with a focus on civil litigation and employment law. Will focus in substantial part on labor and employment practice. Experience with and knowledge of labor and employment law, in grievance/arbitration, collective bargaining, discrimination law, workplace violence, medical leave, Public Employment Relations Board, Unemployment Insurance, Human Resources policies and administrative and civil litigation is preferred. In addition to having strong academic credentials, should preferably have excellent writing skills as well as significant experience taking and defending depositions, drafting dispositive motions, and handling matters independently. Should preferably also be highly motivated to advance in their litigation practice, able to work in coordination with other attorneys, and reliable in their attention to details and deadlines. Must have experience in handling/drafting discovery, law and motion, and familiarity with all aspects of a civil litigation practice. Mediation, arbitration and trial experience is a plus. Experience with labor and employment and landlord-tenant matters is also a plus. Must hold a current and valid California State Bar license.
