Legal Secretary The candidate will prepare legal correspondence and documents; transcribe dictation; organize and maintain files and records. Maintain an organized filing system of paper and electronic documents. Should have 3+ years of experience as a legal secretary, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of or ability to learn law firm and client billing programs is required. Job includes billing submissions, follow-up on billings, and appeals using client billing portals. The ideal candidate will have a desire and willingness to learn new programs and be tech-savvy. Must be proficient in preparing and coordinating court filings by mail, e-filings, filings in State and Federal courts, as well as tax filing. The ability to apply office software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Must have a positive attitude and the ability to work as a team member. Must have the ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to prioritize said tasks accordingly. Type a minimum of 50 words per minute.
