Family Law Attorney The candidate will represent clients in divorce, child custody, child support, and post-decree proceedings, draft legal documents and consult with clients on all aspects of their cases. Will meet with potential new clients for potential representation. Will draft all types of pleadings, including initial documents, final settlement documents, motions, discovery requests/responses, and disclosure statements. Attend Resolution Management Conferences, return hearings, temporary orders hearings, final evidentiary hearings, mediation (private/court-ordered), order of protection hearings, as well as other types of hearings. Negotiate case settlement/resolution, support senior attorney with legal research, document drafting and court appearances on an as-needed basis. Perform administrative and management functions related to caseload. Engage in marketing and networking activities to generate client leads for firm. Active participation in firm's digital marketing efforts to include blogging, online videos and online video streaming. Experience in family law, including meeting with potential clients, quoting retainer fees, drafting legal documents, appearing for court, as well as first chairing family law trials.Strong problem solving skills with a focus on case resolution versus generating additional conflict. Ability to build rapport with clients, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong legal research skills. Goal-oriented and a willingness to be accountable for all aspects of case preparation/management/deadlines.
