Legal Secretary Candidate will: Answer telephones, give information to callers, coordinate conference call and meetings, compose and type memos and various correspondence, organize and distribute incoming mail, respond to routine calls and correspondence, transcribe sensitive material, provide general filing for legal documents, and perform other administrative and clerical duties. Organize, scan, and distribute daily incoming/outgoing mail. Prepare various legal correspondence, materials, and equipment for shipment and coordinate with office and external facilities to ensure timely pick-up and delivery. Distribute daily incoming faxes and photocopy material. Prepare routine and confidential letters and business correspondence and send originals and copies thereof to designated addresses, and maintain correspondence and project files. Prepare and assist in the development of legal briefs, contracts, addenda, amendments, reports and memoranda ensuring accurate grammar, spelling, and business formats. Organize and schedule on-site or off-site depositions. Organize medical records and prepare documents for trial. Create and maintain legal files to promote efficient retrieval and storage of confidential company documents and information. Meet with clients when necessary. Prepares and/or reviews check requests. Qualifications: 3+ years of plaintiffs litigation experience. Must be a team player, confident, and able to assume increased responsibility. Strong typing and proofreading skills, proficiency in Microsoft applications with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word is required. Must t have some familiarity with a law based litigation computer program. Must have some familiarity with writing demands and summarizing depositions. Must be computer proficient, highly organized, detail oriented and have the proven ability to work efficiently on multiple cases and engage in client interaction. Professional demeanor to maintain good inter-office and outside relations.
