Staff Attorney Responsibilities: Provide legal representation to abused and neglected children in City from inception through termination of the case; Maintain a large case assignment; Conduct in-person client interviews in placement and community settings; Interface and communicate with all individuals and agencies involved with the child; Attend meetings and/or other court related proceedings related to representation of the child; Maintain client files and appropriate paperwork. Qualifications: Must have a JD degree; must be licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland; must have 2+ years' experience in the following legal areas: CINA/TPR; child disability; family law; juvenile delinquency; education; and/or some other related legal field; and a demonstrated commitment to social justice; civil and human rights; and public interest work are preferred.
