Legal Secretary The candidate will provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness. Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, etc. Monitor deadlines and handle attorneys calendars. Organize and maintain client files. Locate and develop case-relevant information. Finalize and file legal documents and correspondence. Answer and direct phone calls. Maintain contact lists. Utilize software to draft and modify estate plans based on clients requests. Draft required family law Court forms. The candidate must have a working knowledge of litigation and the discovery process (family law or estate planning knowledge a plus). Should have 2+ years of Proven working experience as a legal assistant/secretary. Must have familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and the court system. Should have satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office. Must have computer literacy. Should have proficiency in English. Familiar with family law and estate planning is required. Should have working knowledge of case management software. Must have excellent secretarial and organizational skills. Should have ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
