Paralegal The candidate will assist in the related area of practice. Responsibilities includes, maintaining and updating law office files. Reviewing, preparing, and editing legal documents, reports and presentations. Maintaining and scheduling multiple attorney calendars. Assisting attorneys in preparing court filings. Managing multiple projects with minimal supervision. Drafting legal and business correspondence. Communicating with business and Court staff. Performing tasks in a manner that demonstrates strong leadership and analytical skills. Handle general office management including screening telephone calls, ordering supplies, organizing incoming and out-going mail, etc. Oversee other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by attorneys. Preferably have Bachelors Degree, or significant Executive Assistant, Paralegal experience. Knowledge of the legal process, legal documents and court rules is required. Should have knowledge of State and Federal court filings including ECF filing systems and PACER. Must be competent in software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe. Typing at 70+ WPM, and knowledge of federal Indian law are preferred. 3+ years of experience as Paralegal is preferred. Have familiarity of Westlaw, GPO Access, Federal Register, CaseMaker and other legal research databases are needed. Must have proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and inquiries from numerous internal and external sources. Demonstrated track record of achievement and success, and verbal, written and interpersonal skills is vital.
