Attorney at Law The candidate's responsibilities include: Case evaluation and preparation; Administrative Hearings; Discovery; Prepare for and attend hearings/depositions; Report on hearings, depositions, and appearances; Correspond as needed; File pleadings; Prepare correspondence to clients regarding status and updates of active claims; Perform legal research and analyze cases; Develop/recommend case strategy; Develop plan of action; Write briefs and pleadings; Negotiate settlements; Administrative duties as they relate to the practice of law. Knowledge of Virginia Workers' Compensation law required. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Technologically adept required. Excellent organizational skills required. Should have 2+ years experience handling Virginia Workers Compensation Claims. Virginia Bar admission is required. The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of representing Claimants in their workers' compensation matters, including appeals.
