Remote/virtual Associate Attorney (part-time) Responsibilities: Maintain litigation and transactional caseloads. Consult with clients on legal best practices and provide consistent legal guidance and support with empathy. Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with clients to ensure retention and referrals. Research cases by interviewing witnesses, reading depositions, reviewing evidence and speaking with the client to determine the best strategy for defense. Conduct legal research into past cases and documents to create comprehensive legal arguments. Prepare legal writing to build a clear analysis of the issue. Litigate cases from inception through trial, when a trial is necessary. Work with staff to compile comprehensive trial briefs. Adhere to a consistent schedule of hearings and case-related conferences and mediations and negotiate on behalf of clients. Support with business development efforts, including but not limited to, meeting with prospective clients and evaluating clients needs. Apply knowledge of employment law, functions, strategies, and processes to provide services, solutions, advice, and improvement to clients served. Oversee the development and implementation of Murphy Law Practice's goals, objectives, work plans, and policies. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience in employment law. Substantial experience in both litigation and transactional law. Knowledgeable about all aspects of CLIO for legal case management. Ensures high quality of work by taking full responsibility for all work-product assigned and or delegated, as well as all internal, external, and court deadlines. Demonstrated ability to intuitively and creatively solve complex problems. Ability to deliver exceptional hands-on client service with empathy and compassion. Bachelor's degree required. Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
