Prepare initial drafts of Hart Scott Rodino (HSR) premerger notifications and report forms, conduct initial review of related documents. Track HSR developments and rule changes, prepare reports to communicate with practice group. Perform company and industry research related to M&A transactions. Manage complex files; review documents and organize relevance; assist with confidentiality and privilege reviews. If litigation, prepare witness files, assist with deposition preparation; assist in all aspects of trial preparation, arbitrations and mediations; attend trials. Participate in client interviews; oversee document productions; manage large numbers of documents as well as electronic data; understand and develop database structures for use in Relativity and other database applications; coordinate data processing with Electronic Discovery Services (EDS) Department and with outside vendors; work analytically; identify interrelationships among cases, statues, regulations and other legal authorities, cite-check legal memorandum and other legal documents; participate in training and mentoring initiatives. During absences acts as back-up to other paralegals for specific case projects. Travel as needed. Other duties as requested by attorneys and manager. The candidate should have Bachelors degree with solid academic credentials. Must have 3+ years hands-on litigation paralegal experience in a legal or corporate environment. Should have solid computer skills. Must have knowledge of and experience using MS Word, Outlook Calendar, Excel and Power Point expected.
