Minimum of high school graduation. Ability to work with and take direction from multiple individuals, to communicate well in a remote setting, as well as the ability to work independently. Paralegal-Patent Litigation Responsibilities: Maintain positive contact with clients, lawyers and staff, and observe confidentiality of client matters. Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, other documents and attorney notebooks. Review and synthesize historical documents. Summarize articles, reports, witness statements, and depositions. Manage source code reviews with an understanding of the provisions of protective orders and e-discovery orders/stipulations for input to attorneys to ensure all procedures are met per client instructions. Coordinate and attend client conferences, hearings, and trials. Draft legal documents and correspondence. Perform computer database input and retrieval with an emphasis on proficiency with e-discovery platforms including but not limited to Concordance and Relativity. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of paralegal experience. Paralegal certificate required. Experience with litigation trial procedures required and at the International Trade Commission preferred. Experience with automated litigation support software is required. Through knowledge of all phases of litigation, discovery, and trial procedures. Demonstrated skills in document /information management. Track, document, and enter billable time. Perform administrative duties for assigned attorneys and technology specialists as requested. Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to new staff as it relates to best practices and IP specific rules and policies. Serve as a back-up to other IP Paralegals and IP Assistants in the office as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of US and foreign patent prosecution experience in a law firm required.
