The successful candidate will possess a four-year bachelor's degree, a three-year law degree from an accredited law school, and a minimum of three years of experience practicing family law. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred, but not required. ## Responsibilities - Supervise and direct mediation sessions and offer effective legal advice - Oversee and manage legal issues between family members - Draft, negotiate, and review court documents such as pleadings or witness statements - Manage a full caseload of family law cases of varying degrees of complexity - Open new files, create litigation plans, conduct discovery, make court appearances, and try cases - Uphold a steady schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences - Propound and respond to discovery, including Declarations of Disclosure, Requests for Production, Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, Requests for Admission, Subpoenas, and Depositions - Maintain exceptional client interaction ## Qualifications - Four-year bachelor's degree, along with a three-year law degree from an accredited law school - At least 3 years of experience as an attorney within Family Law - Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred, but not required - Experience with Case Management Software required - Active member of the CA state bar and local bar associations - Decision-making, public speaking and supervisory experience is required - Advanced proficiency in computer skills, reviewing reports, and budgets ## Compensation and Benefits The Matian Firm, APC offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
