Develop and maintain knowledge management and knowledge sharing systems within the team. Liaise between attorneys and business partners and outside counsel as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent (including paralegal certificate). 5+ years of relevant experience in litigation and employment law, as a paralegal or legal assistant in a law firm and/or in-house legal department. Experience with litigation in both California state and federal courts. Excellent project management skill. Exceptionally organized, self-motivated and a keen eye for detail. Strong proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word. Able to undertake complex projects with little supervision. Self-motivated with a high level of independent judgment. Coordinate depositions of parties requested by attorneys. Summarize and organize depositions, records and testimony utilizing litigation support technology tools. Draft various pleadings and filings in Federal and State level civil litigation. Assist with all aspects of case litigation, trial preparation including identifying and marking exhibits for motions, position papers, mediation depositions and trial. Verify case citations in briefs for current validity and accuracy through Westlaw. Interact with various government and court officials as well as with clients.
