Real Estate / Corporate Paralegal Duties: Performs full paralegal duties and must be capable of managing and prioritizing a heavy caseload. Provide support to a team of attorneys. Title and survey document review. Draft of title and survey objections and title response letters. Draft legal documents such as deeds, easements, covenants, restrictions and contract addendums. Correspondence with title officers, escrow and opposing counsel. Schedule and coordinate closings. Draft closing documents for real estate transactions. Draft summary review memo of leases and purchase and sales agreements. Managing extremely active calendar of appointments. Track and enter hourly billing. Communicate directly with clients, attorneys, personnel, experts and other legal professionals. Manage deadlines to ensure efficient case development. Provide case status updates to the team on a regular basis. Handle files from opening to closing. Prepare closing binders. Maintenance of entity records, including board/equity holder actions, ledgers, option plan administration. State and federal securities compliance. Due diligence. Management of data sites. Drafting transactional documents. Management of closings for financings and M&A transactions. Review, preparation and filing of UCC filings and handle UCC filing search requests in all states. Qualifications: Paralegal certification, or 5+ years experience. Experience with Corporate Focus also a plus. Must have a great attitude, will be a team player, have a proactive work ethic, excellent oral and written communication skills, will be proficient in proof-reading and data entry, detail oriented and have the ability to work well under pressure. Strong knowledge of real estate transactions and corporate experience in a law firm environment. Ability to work collaboratively and/or independently, while being proactive in prioritizing multiple projects to meet deadlines. Real Estate Paralegal Duties: Obtains records and documents; interviews clients and other parties; reviews literature and searches data bases. Generally, assembles and organizes information. Investigates, assembles, and organizes factual information which supports correspondence and legal documents and reviews, analyzes, summarizes, prepares and/or drafts correspondence, loan and purchase documents and other documents. Organize and maintain client forms database. Develops and maintains positive relationships with the firm s clients, title insurance companies, closing agents, administrative agencies, and other outside vendors. Performs administrative responsibilities assigned by the practice area or department chair. Examples include disseminating changes in the codes, statutes, regulations and procedures to others in the firm and maintaining current files of forms used in the assigned practice area.
