The candidate must have 3+ years of experience providing intellectual property litigation support in a law firm environment. College degree or comparable paralegal experience is required. Paralegal certificate preferred. Must be able to meet the firm's billable hours requirement while maintaining excellent service and producing consistently high quality work product that meets or exceeds the firm's quality standards. Successful candidate will have excellent data entry and organizational skills; strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate projects; and the ability to use good judgment, initiative, and command of resources to accomplish results; strong interpersonal skills to communicate and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff to provide information with courtesy and tact. Shares process flow with assignees; Identifies problematic cases and discusses strategies and/or solutions with Attorney. Performs research to obtain information such as background on a company or industry, current wages, processing procedures, standard processing times, etc. Initiates contact with government agencies to obtain necessary information; alerts Senior Paralegal and/or attorney regarding potential process delays/problems. MS Office, Scan/Copy; learn, apply and effectively navigate daily use of propriety software. Should have 1 - 3 yrs. U.S. corporate immigration experience. Leverages BAL expertise to partner with Knowledge Management in developing new materials. Manages status of all filed applications and petitions and finalizes documents after attorney review. Utilizes document and data management systems to prepare, monitor, and record all aspects of client casework as per BAL policy; reviews work of Immigration Assistants/Paralegals. Demonstrate mastery of Paralegal skills. Proven ability to handle a high volume of cases. Proven ability to become thoroughly proficient in handling complex, challenging, and VIP cases. Proven ability to manage corporate clients as it relates to area of specialization. Comprehensive knowledge of Team practice.
