Requirements: Previous Case Manager experience required. Must have and demonstrate an understanding of acceptable professional etiquette. Must have strong computer skills with all Microsoft Office Suite products. Must be able to work independently on multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Must be able to think quickly and respond appropriately to unexpected situations. Knowledge of Needles software a plus. Personal Injury Law knowledge and experience. Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for supporting attorneys in the various aspects of litigation related to case preparation, management, and execution. Maintain an expert database and researches opposing counsel s experts. Make travel arrangements and provides directions and other necessary information to attorney. Perform research pertaining to legal issues and precedents related to particular cases. File documents with the various courts. Perform clerical duties such as typing and filing to the extent required to produce work product or assure proper organization of case files. Enter billable time into computer on a daily basis. Meet a minimum billing requirement of 140 hours per month (1680 per year). Perform non-billable functions, including but not limited to, participating on strategic committees, assisting in seminar development, assisting with production of presentations, mentoring and training new employees. Ensure all functions are performed in exact accordance with applicable client guidelines. Remain flexible and open to requests for support or assistance outside of the scope of this job description and to other duties as directed by the Management team. Bachelors or better required. 3+ years of litigation experience required. Certified Paralegal preferred. Knowledge: of legal principles and practices in order to assume responsibility of providing support for attorney team members in case management and information gathering at a level normally acquired through completion of an associate s degree or certified paralegal education; of the various courts, their rules and filing requirements required. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys, staff, and clients and to provide information with ordinary courtesy, diplomacy and tact required. Qualifications: HS Diploma. Bonus experiences you might have: Bachelor degree and/or professional certification. Experience with immigration-specific case management software. 3-4 years related paralegal experience supporting an immigration law office. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Bilingual in Spanish with written and oral fluency.
