Attorney Diversity and Inclusion Specialist Duties: Helps design, coordinate, manage, track, and evaluate initiatives and programs designed to support the recruitment of diverse attorneys and summer associates. Attend all diversity events, including On Campus Interviews. Track all law school sponsorships and diversity recruiting events. Track all diversity candidates, including their touch points, summer performance reviews, etc. In collaboration with the Director of Diversity and Inclusion and the Director of Attorney Recruiting, create diversity recruiting reports, as necessary, including the Annual Diversity Recruiting Report. Schedule and take notes for Diversity Strategy Committee (DSC) meetings and all DSC subcommittee meetings, Diversity Partner Recruiting Committee (DPRC) meetings, and other meetings, as necessary. Assist Diversity and Inclusion Manager with all affinity group communications, budgeting, tracking, coordination, and event planning. Also, manage the creation of the Annual Affinity Group brochure. Act as resource to Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, and Marketing department by providing diversity-related information relating to diverse attorneys as requested from clients and external organizations sponsoring surveys and awards. Work with the Director of Diversity and Inclusion regarding diversity awareness. Help promote diversity and inclusion initiatives, events, and policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; JD Degree preferred. 2+ years of recruiting experience in a law or professional services firm. On campus recruiting experience preferred. Experience with or interest in diversity related programs. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Taleo or other applicant tracking systems. Assist with on-boarding process for lateral attorneys (completing new hire checklist, mailing new hire materials, communication with internal departments, calendar entries, conference room reservations including A/V needs, photo session, office tour, etc.) Assist with on-boarding of fall associate class (sending new hire materials, receiving and tracking paperwork, coordinating relocation and Bar/Bri payments and reimbursements, etc.) Assist with on-boarding of summer associate class (sending new hire materials, receiving and tracking paperwork) Update and maintain departmental files. Prepare routine correspondence. Assist Manager with event planning as needed (e.g., MAP Resources, retirement dinners, etc.). Assist Manager with implementing diversity and women s initiatives for the office as needed. Qualifications: Experience with applicant tracking software (LawCruit) preferred. Proven proofing and grammar skills required. Typing speed of 50 wpm, required. Accomplished with MS Office Suite software products, including MS Word and MS Excel, required. Ability to effectively and diplomatically interact and communicate with all levels of personnel, as well as outside vendors, law school representatives, and candidates. Strong clerical and organizing skills with keen attention to the details. Ability to handle with discretion access to confidential information and materials.
