Admittance to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas required. Admittance to practice in the Western, Eastern, and Northern District courts preferred. License to practice law in other states is a plus. 3 years experience as a practicing bankruptcy attorney preferred. Advanced knowledge and thorough understanding of bankruptcy law required. Significant experience filing and handling Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases will be considered in lieu of 3 years experience as a practicing bankruptcy attorney. Experience practicing in federal district and federal bankruptcy court is required. Knowledge of both federal and Texas bankruptcy and consumer protection laws. Ability to analyze case law, statutes, and regulations and provide legal advice and recommendations. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Possess strong organizational and time management skills with the proven ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
