Drafting initial pleadings, discovery requests and written discovery responses and responses to request for disclosures. e-filing in state and federal courts in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Maintaining the files electronically and physically in a manner that can become our exhibit list, witness list and expert witness list for trial. Communicating with your counterpart paralegal on the defense side of each case to schedule inspections, discovery responses, depositions, mediation and exchanging trial materials in pre-trial. Preparing for and attending trial. Communicating and negotiating lien reductions, and LOP reductions when necessary to settle cases, preparation of settlement disbursement packages. Obtaining signatures on releases and compromise settlement agreements. Keeping clients informed of the progress and status of the cases and assisting in the communication efforts with client and the attorneys. Should have 2+ years of experience.
