The candidate should have 1 -2 years of Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience supporting a legal office. Paralegal certificate required. Certification from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) or the American Alliance Certified Paralegal (AACP) credential offered by the American Alliance of Paralegals, Inc. is highly preferred. Associates degree or Bachelor's degree preferred. Working knowledge of legal principles and practices. In depth knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations is essential. Thorough knowledge of legal research techniques and legal terminology is essential. Microsoft Word experience required; Excel and PowerPoint experience preferred.
