Senior Paralegal II Responsibilities: Under direction of Senior Paralegal/Attorney, takes lead in email/phone client communications. Provides guidance to assignees regarding proprietary systems and case processing. Increased understanding of client communication procedures and requirements. Inputs client services rendered and sends to Accounting for processing. Complete competence of case types previously handled and continually strives to advance and broaden knowledge base; demonstrates increasing levels of independence in case handling. Processes more advanced and varied corporate immigration cases. Evaluates cases, relays concerns, and proactively escalates to the appropriate team members(s). Prepares forms, letters, documents and correspondence for attorney review; adapts tools and resources for casework which deviates from templates; increases knowledge of BAL best practices. Manages status of all filed applications and petitions and finalizes documents after attorney review. Utilizes document and data management systems to prepare, monitor, and record all aspects of client casework as per policy. Prepares internal caseload reports for management. Shares process flow with assignees; Identifies problematic cases and discusses strategies and/or solutions with Attorney. Performs research to obtain information such as background on a company or industry, current wages, processing procedures, standard processing times, etc. Initiates contact with government agencies to obtain necessary information; alerts Senior Paralegal and/or attorney regarding potential process delays/problems. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree; 1-year law-related experience under licensed attorney; or, PL certificate from ABA approved program. 2-4 years of high-volume U.S. corporate immigration experience. Comfortable and ability to thrive in an extremely high volume environment. Demonstrates sound judgment. Ability to execute and work well with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and ability to catch errors and correct work and the work of others. Superior client service skills. Effectively able to prioritize cases, caseload and other assigned tasks (i.e. projects, company management responsibilities, etc.). Ability to meet deadline and goals. Real Estate Paralegal

Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provide real estate transactional support to the firm's attorneys and their clients. Will have experience in reviewing and analyzing title reports, surveys, zoning certificates and other due diligence documents for acquisition, dispositions and real estate loans, including preparation of title and survey review memoranda. Experience in drafting closing, conveyancing and loan documents and generating redlines. Experience reviewing leases and preparing lease abstracts. Significant experience with commercial real estate closings and the ability to manage cases from inception to closing, including acting as the real estate transaction specialist responsible for preparing and maintaining closing checklists, preparing closing documents, preparing signature packages, and drafting closing instructions. Ability to review loan documents and purchase and sale agreements and prepare critical date summaries and maintain key dates and closing calendars. Ability to perform all the necessary follow-up for all post-closing matters, including review of issued title policy, finalizing of closing binders, and managing of transmission of all original documents. Experience dealing with multi-state transactions. Ability to access and search land records.Coordinate recordation of deeds, deeds of trust, amendments, lot line adjustments, easements, covenants and other documents to be recorded. Experience with organizational documents, including entity formation, procuring of good standing certificates and similar certifications and preparation of authorizing resolutions. Undergraduate degree and paralegal certificate required. will consider candidate with comparable relevant experience in lieu of a paralegal certificate. Must have strong communication skills. Must be familiar with and observe the firm s established policies and guidelines. Must have 5-10 years of commercial real estate legal experience.
