Paralegal - Wealth Strategies Duties: Meet and communicate with clients to gather and provide information. Manage and administer the property owned by decedents, including the preparation of drafts of pleadings to open a decedent s estate, inventory of property, decedent s final income tax return, fiduciary income tax returns, estate and inheritance tax returns, annual and final settlements, and transfer documents. Prepare drafts of documents and amendments related to estate planning including wills, durable powers of attorney, health care directives, amendments, trust documents, transfer of assets of revocable trusts, and diagrams for estate plans. Administer the property held by trustees including but not limited to processing routine transactions such as income deposits, payment of administrative expenses, distributions to beneficiaries, periodic accountings to beneficiaries, security sales and purchases, fiduciary income tax returns, and investments for trusts and estates. Participate in probate conferences and assist in explaining the procedures to clients. Prepare drafts of all routine forms, petitions and orders. Handle all administrative and clerical functions related to the estate. Interact and communicate with all non-legal parties involved, such as insurance agents, real estate agents, banking agents, and administrative & judicial agents. Docket and monitor deadlines associated with estates. Requirements: A four year degree or paralegal certificate; 3+ years legal experience paralegal certificate a plus; Proficient with Microsoft s Word, Excel, and Outlook; Efficient and effective with great time management skills; and Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and prioritize projects. Must have: Great communication skills(verbal and written); Collaborative team player able to work well with others; Self-motivated; and Understanding of project and process management. Paralegal/Legal Assistant - Family Law The candidate in lieu of a receptionist, shall greet all clients and take accurate messages (with the proper return phone number and name of the person calling) when individuals are not available, receives deliveries by courier or messenger, and received and sends faxes. Prepares and drafts legal documents for filing with appropriate entities and necessary correspondence. Shall ensure the accuracy of all documents prepared. Performs administrative duties including basic research, filing, mailings, organizes files and pleading panels, calendaring telephone communication. Conducts legal research for particular issues as assigned by attorneys using periodicals, law library, public records, and offices. Takes messages when individuals are not available, receives deliveries by courier or messenger, and receives and sends faxes. Makes copies. Returns all client phone calls left before 5:00 p.m. the same day. Enter all billable hours completed on a given day into the designated timekeeping or billing software the same day. Shall maintain a team player and non-entitlement mentality. Performs any other reasonable task requested by the Firm Management Team. The candidate should have Paralegal degree or certificate and/or 3+ years of legal experience. Domestic experience preferred. Must have familiarity with PC programs. Litigation Paralegal

Litigation Paralegal Duties: Obtain, review, organize preliminary documentation and information received from clients and opposing counsel. Prepare a chronology of facts and create production logs. Organize documents and coordinate document productions to include bates-stamping, redaction, and indexing of documents. Work under the guidance of an attorney on electronic productions. Create and maintain internal case management databases, run searches on internal and external resources. Assist in locating fact witnesses and expert witnesses; gather and prepare documents relevant to testimony; conduct interviews of witnesses within scope of paralegal s job function. Assist attorney(s) in developing the defense of case and trial strategy. Assist attorneys with incorporation process. Draft correspondence, routine motions and responsive pleadings. Assist in trial preparations to include organization of file and exhibits; coordinate trial set-up and logistics; assist attorneys in courtroom when needed; serve as liaison with witnesses. Qualifications: A four year degree in Paralegal Studies or a bachelor's degree in another field with a certification in Paralegal Studies. 2+ years of experience working as a paralegal in the general litigation practice area with focus in family law. Some additional experience in corporate transactional areas is preferred. Knowledge of legal principles and practices at a level normally acquired through formal paralegal training. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet project deadlines. Ability to proofread material for contextual, grammatical, typographic or spelling errors. Ability to review, organize, analyze and summarize facts and documents. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate and follow instructions effectively from clients and attorneys. Interpersonal skills to work with other members in a positive, teamwork environment to service our clients. Advanced knowledge of Word and Outlook.
