Litigation Paralegal The candidate will handle cases from inception up to and through trial. Calendar court dates and preparing motions to continue, notices of hearing, and other motions. Maintain communication with clients and providing updates on case progress. Request discovery and other case-related documents. E-file pleadings. Schedule mediations, depositions, and other matters. Communicate with clients and providing updates on case progress. The candidate should preferably have an Associate's degree with 7 years of experience in Plaintiff's personal injury. Must have 3 years of relevant and 1 year of Microsoft Office experience preferred; impeccable attention to detail. Should have been Experienced with Florida's e-filing portal; excellent communication skills both verbal and written; strong work ethic and disciplined to work alone in a virtual environment; ability to put together closing settlement statements; good command of Microsoft Office; good internet skills and searching; put demand packages together; conduct client interviews; good grammar and letter writing skills. Must have good references from former employers. Should be detail-oriented, analytical, self-managing, and motivated with good people skills; learning something new every day and can also managing the routine work that is essential to keep cases moving; self-reliant and unafraid to ask questions. Must be motivated to do the highest quality work.
