Real Estate/Litigation Paralegal or Legal Assistant Duties: Participate in the drafting, editing and preparation of contracts, pleadings, briefs, summonses, subpoenas, appeals and motions among other documents. Filing materials such as motions, briefs, memorandums, pleadings, etc. at various court systems in a timely manner. Communicate, correspond and interact with clients and outside entities, such as government agencies, corporations and other law firms to gather information or data. Arrange for delivery of legal correspondence to clients, witnesses and court officials. Maintain attorneys calendars, recording and monitoring court appearance dates, pleadings and filing requirements. Welcome clients by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering or directing inquiries.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a top-ranked institution or a paralegal certificate. Prior experience utilizing Adobe Acrobat is a plus. strong interpersonal and communication skills. General working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including MS Word and Excel needed.
