This position offers a salary of $52,000-$60,000 per year with benefits. Job Responsibilities: - Assist two (2) Trust & Estate Attorneys in all facets of trust and probate administration Review bank statements and prepare trust accountings Prepare and file Assessment Appeal Board Applications Obtain EIN numbers from IRS Draft real property deeds and related documents Draft trust-related documents, correspondence and other legal documents Draft petitions for probate and declarations with applicable courts Track and meet deadlines for probate matters and trust/probate litigation cases Keep cases organized by establishing and organizing files, meeting deadlines, and clearly documenting actions Input information into file database/case management system (FileVine) Meet and field questions from clients, trustees and family members Communicate with beneficiaries Notarize documents for clients (our firm will pay to have you obtain a Notary Public license if you do not already have one) All other duties as assigned Job Qualifications: Previous experience as a Trust, Estate & Probate paralegal preferred (minimum 2+ years) Previous experience with preparing Trust Accountings Knowledge of Probate process and rules and use of judicial council forms preferred Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong client service skills, and verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and multitask Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Health insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Professional development assistance Profit sharing Tuition reimbursement Firm Name is seeking a Trust, Estate & Probate Paralegal to join their team in Hermosa Beach, CA.
