Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our team and assist our attorneys with all immigration-related matters. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in the field of law or earned Paralegal Certificate and 1+ years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal. Fluency in Hindi/Urdu or Bengali is required, including willingness and ability to interpret and translate when needed. Responsibilities and Duties -Communicate with clients, perform intakes and complete USCIS applications such as Adjustment of Status, Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, and Work Authorization applications -Provide clients with case status updates whether on the phone or in-person -Assist attorneys with file organization, case preparation including submissions to USCIS and Immigration Court Qualifications and Skills -Bachelor's degree in the field of law or earned Paralegal Certificate -1+ years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal -Fluency in Hindi/Urdu or Bengali -Excellent written and oral communication skills -Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and possess strong time-management skills -Excellent use of software applications such as Google apps, Microsoft Word, and Cerenade -Ability to work both independently and as part of a team when required Compensation and Benefits -Salary: $20 - $25 an hour -Benefits: 401(k) matching, dental insurance, employee assistance program, employee discount, flexible spending account, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and vision insurance -Career Development: Mentoring and training program led by our Leadership Team, opportunity to attend immigration court hearings and observe attorneys conduct trials -EEO Statement: UBA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer Law Firm of Usman B.
