Personal Injury - Workers' Compensation - Legal Assistant - Paralegal The candidate should have 1-3 years of relevant work experience. Must have experience in all aspects of no-fault claims, workers compensation claims, and liability claims, and must have knowledge of New York serious injury threshold law. Must have experience setting up Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation cases, obtaining client's medical records, sending special damages packages and other claims related responsibilities with Insurance Companies and the Workers' Compensation Board. Must have excellent reading and writing skills and experience writing correspondence to insurance companies. Must also have experience drafting legal documents including summons and complaints, bills of particulars, motions and notices of claim to be reviewed by Attorney. Must also be comfortable with clerical duties including filing. Must have experience speaking with clients, medical offices and insurance companies and the Workers' Compensation Board. Must be computer literate, willing and able to follow directions, and able to work independently. Must also be a college graduate, and bi-lingual Bengali/ English or Spanish/ English.
