Associate Intake Attorney DUTIES: Follow practices and processes that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company standards, and serve the needs of our clients.This includes a commitment to a process of continuous improvement. Complete pre-appointment calls regarding all auto, workers compensation and general personal injury cases prior to field representatives appointment arrival. Will assist with mass tort cases as needed. Answer questions from potential clients prior to the field representatives arrival, confirm appointment. Confirm that potential case meets sign-up criteria and update case information in Needles appropriately. Review all cases for 3rd party claims all accompanying letters prior to mailing. Review medical records on potential cases and make appropriate decisions as to intake staff follow up.. Assist the Intake staff, as a secondary resource to the Intake Attorney, with questions, decisions on sign- up eligibility, intake processes, selling the firm to potential clients. Assist callers who have concerns and/or complaints. Review and provide analysis of all new potential cases by: Ensuring all cases wanted are converted to cases retained; Reviewing case facts to determine if case meets criteria; Reviewing and monitoring case facts to determine insurance coverage, case value and medical care; Develop knowledge of the firm and its business by knowing the firm s history, culture, brand, organizational structure, and have an understanding of desirable cases. Work with team of Intake professionals by: Preparing team for assignments by training and communicating. Provide input on evaluations. Communicate with all potential clients effectively, sympathetically, while utilizing listening and problem solving skills. Meets the company policy standards and set the example for the staff. Perform other duties within the employee s training and skills as directed by Core Leader. Qualifications: Degree from a four-year college or university, graduate degree from an accredited law school. License to practice law in Kentucky. License to practice law in Tennessee a plus. License to practice law in other states, a plus. Must maintain a valid drivers license. 1+ year Personal Injury experience is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as pleadings, legal rules and procedures, governmental rules and regulations, medical records. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients, court personnel, peers, and/or employees or organization. Proficiency with Microsoft office software and legal research platforms such as Needles case management. Ability to professionally type of 50 wpm. Ability to professionally multitask and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously. Display eagerness to learn each and every day. Provide dependability and trustworthiness. Possess a desire for accuracy. Respectful toward clients and coworkers. Ability to work independently without regular direct supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
