Estate Planning & Tax Associate Attorney The candidate will conduct initial meetings with clients for estate or tax issues. Conduct various follow up client meetings. Draft and prepare various estate and trust documents. Review and execute final estate documents. Prepare and record deeds. Trust administration and trust funding. Probate administration and other probate matters. Handle various tax law issues pertaining to estates, businesses, and/or individuals. Assist the Firm's tax attorneys with various tax claims. Should have 3+ years experience in estate planning practice. Must be licensed in California. Great communication, interpersonal, and professional skills are needed. Familiarity with California property tax and reassessment exclusions and issues are needed. Understanding the overall process of trust, estate, probate, and administrative differences are needed. Strong problem-solving skills and mind-set is needed. Experience planning, drafting, and administering irrevocable trusts is a plus. Strong tax background including income tax, federal estate tax, and gift tax is a plus. Trust litigation background is a plus. Tax controversy experience is a plus. Fiduciary accounting experience is a plus.
