Estate Planning/Medicaid Paralegal The candidate should have Paralegal certificate or degree program in legal studies. If an applicant has been trained on the job and has excellent skills will also be considered. Must know how to e-file. Word Perfect (preferred);Word (optional); billing software such as Time Slips; case management database software (i.e. Time Matters, Amicus, Needles, Clio) Should have legal Research Skills: Westlaw or Lexis; ability to find cases, statutes, administrative material, recorded deeds, and other information through various websites. Must have 3 years experience. Must have background in the following areas: estate planning (i.e. Wills & Trusts); incapacity planning (Durable Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, Designations of Health Care Surrogate); trust administration and re-titling of assets into a revocable trust; Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security benefits; special needs trusts. Will be responsible for reading course material and attending webinars/ seminars.
