Seeking Immigration Law Paralegal with 2+ years of experience handling the following: Adjustment of Status Cases, Naturalization, VAWA, U, T Visas, Waivers, Removal of Conditions, Derivative cases, and Business Immigration Cases; Manage calendars and deadlines. Must speak Spanish. Must have a strong sense of social justice, compassion, empathy, kindness, and have people skills. Must be willing to speak to clients regularly on the phone and in person and be extremely patient. Must: Think in terms of outlines, chronologies, and indexes; see an opportunity for organization where other people see a mess; understand that sometimes it s OK to leave a message, but sometimes keep trying until speak to a person and know how to follow up on r own, without being prompted; can be sympathetic and hear sad stories without getting overwhelmed; are very good with calendars, e-mail, spreadsheets, word processing, and the internet; are an excellent writer; are an awesome juggler of tasks and can change gears quickly; do not think scanning and copying are beneath ; are self-directed and can figure things out if provided the right resources; will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand-holding.
