Full Job Description PC, is an Injury Law Firm with offices in Wilmington and Charlotte, North Carolina. We are looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join our Wilmington office to handle primarily personal injury cases (Motor Vehicle Accidents and Slip & Falls) Responsibilities Draft pleadings, complaints, motions, summons, etc. Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories and requests for production of documents. Draft subpoenas and other AOC forms Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments Keep tickler of deadlines for opposing counsel responsive documents and for our to-do list. Prepare correspondence transmitting pleadings to clerk for filing Prepare correspondence transmitting pleadings and discovery to opposing counsel. Client contact Ideal candidate qualities: Excellent communication skills Must be understanding and patient High degree of drive to move tasks to completion Attention to detail Organization Time management Professional Education and Experience: Must have at least 2-3 years of experience in litigation - required Knowledge and experience with NC Rules of Civil Procedure, especially deadlines - required Knowledge and experience with federal Rules of Civil Procedure - preferable but not required Experience preparing summary/chronology of medical treatment - preferable but not required.
