Associate Attorney $80,000 a year The candidate will work in conjunction with's three attorneys. As a primarily family law firm, experience in family law is preferred. also has a growing appellate practice. Initially, the Associate Attorney will assist the attorneys with pleadings, motions, discovery, and more on existing cases. After a probationary period, the Associate Attorney will be assigned as the primary attorney on certain cases. Writing motions in divorce, custody, and other family law matters. Preparing pleadings in divorce, custody, child support, and guardianship cases. Meet with clients. Attend court hearings, trials, and other proceedings. Write legal memos or correspondence to opposing counsel or clients. Tracking and billing your time. Must maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential. Be able to accept new and other reasonable responsibilities. Must have a juris doctor and be licensed by the State Bar of Nevada. Family law experience preferred (though not required). Excellent grammar, writing, and computer skills.
