Entry Level Legal Secretary/Office Assistant The candidate should have basic office experience and general legal knowledge. Must have excellent WordPerfect and Word skills, with the ability to transcribe correspondence and other legal documents. Must have the ability to perform a variety of complex administrative functions in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality. Should have strong planning, organizational, and time management skills; exercise good judgment and appreciate the need for discretion; have the ability to prioritize multiple projects within tight deadlines; demonstrate strong initiative, integrity, and trustworthiness; have the ability to maintain highly confidential information; and flexible attitude and the ability to deal well with changing assignments and priorities. Experience with court rules, time lines, and legal terminology preferred, but not necessary. Law firm experience helpful. must have knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures, including the operation of standard office equipment. Must be able to navigate stairs and carry up to 20 lbs. Must have valid Driver's License and proof of insurance.
