Litigation Paralegal DUTIES: Draft legal documents and pleadings, including deposition notices, subpoenas, motions, certifications, contracts, briefs, and complaints, and discovery. Handle discovery the exchange of certain information between opposing parties to a lawsuit, including objections and responses to discovery requests and propounding discovery. Prepare deposition and medical summaries. Organize and manage files, documents, and exhibits. File documents with federal and state courts. Order medical and billing records. Handle Mediation/Depositions and schedule and prepare binders.
Qualifications: Must have 3+ years of paralegal litigation experience. Should have the applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices, etc.; excellent writing and communication skills; strong work ethic and desire to maintain a proactive role in the firm; and an ability to work independently on an assigned caseload while upholding timely billing practices. Must be able to multi-task, have strong organizational skills, and must be able to work well with a team as well as individually.
