Attorney The candidate will have experience with, and handle, real estate and commercial litigation, as well as work directly with clients in commercial real estate transactions involving the sale, acquisition, secured financing, and leasing of apartment buildings and another commercial real estate. Review, prepare and manage transaction documentation. Assist in reviewing, managing, and responding to diligence requests; coordinating closings; and analyzing and examining real estate titles. The candidates must be licensed to practice in New York State or eligible to waive into the New York State Bar; be organized and detail-oriented. Must have 2 years of experience as an attorney handling a commercial and residential real estate or financing transactions with experience commensurate with their years of practice; have experience with real estate syndications, including condominiums, cooperatives, and/or homeowners associations. Preferred experience includes working with, and presenting to, local boards, Article 78 practice, estate planning practice, and appellate work. Expectations include billing approximately twenty (20) hours per week, along with handling flat-fee work. LLC and corporation formation, as well as business sales/transfers experience, necessary. Evictions and landlord/tenant work available. Additionally, there are opportunities for all types of legal work available. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; recently admitted attorneys who have non-lawyer business experience in commercial real estate, securitization, structured finance, or related fields. Should be strongly incorporated into the Central New York community and those who wish to build a lasting practice in the area.
