Associate Attorney The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently with available support from supervising attorney; must have excellent communication and writing skills. Training will be provided for first year associates and/or candidates not well versed in first and third party litigation. Candidate will become an integral part of a collaborative culture with extended support from a large dedicated team of staff and attorneys. Responsibilities will include taking and defending depositions, responding to discovery and pleadings, preparing for/arguing hearings on full range of issues related to homeowners cases, and will actively train to argue dispositive hearings. Requirements: 1. Florida Bar Admission/Member in Good Standing; 2. 1 to 2 years of first party and/or third-party insurance litigation experience; 3. Admission in other jurisdictions is a plus; 4. Must be willing to learn how to conduct legal analysis of issues and become intimately knowledgeable of applicable case law and statutes; 5. Engage in direct communications via telephone and e-mail with attorneys and clients 6. Must be bilingual - Spanish.
